The Lake Munmorah burn on Friday, May 6, will target 1 hectare of bushland at Delavia Drive.
The burn is scheduled to start at about 4pm and be completed by about 6pm.
The burn at Doyalson North, on Saturday, May 7, will be in two hectares of bushland off Basford Road, starting at 10am and to be completed by about 5pm.
The proposed burn at Doyalson North might be held on Sunday, at the same time, RFS Fire Mitigation Officer Matt Horwood said.
There may be some smoke and fire activity visible from local roadways during and after the hazard reduction operations.
Motorists in these areas should slow down and take care if driving through smoke, including keeping windows up and turning their headlights on.
Residents in these areas should take the appropriate precautions including keeping doors and windows closed, removing washing from clothes lines, and ensuring any pets are in a protected area.
Residents may also experience discoloured water due to fire fighters extracting water from the water mains during the hazard reduction operations.
