The event - in the grounds of Munmorah Power Station - is the traditional start of Youth Week activities in Wyong Shire.
Music was featured on three stages at the festival, with punters treated to an eclectic mix ranging from folk, country and pop through to every colour on the rock spectrum.
The band Four Shades, featuring Morisset High School students Albert Hanger (vocals), Jarrod O’Brien (bass) and Blake Lewis (lead guitar) along with former student Anthony Milner (drums) was one of the highlights of the morning session.
Central Coast band Staranger Than Paradise also impressed.
Lead singer Toby Wells was not at full fitness, but lived up to the showbiz adage ‘The show must go on’.
“I’m not sitting down because I’m lazy,” he told the audience.
“I actually have a broken leg.”
The band performed some well-crafted original songs, including Every Night, On and On, and Waiting for You.
On the Pitt Stage, local contemporary country singer Kate Rose played a selection of interesting covers, including Kasey Chambers’ The Captain, and Don’t Change by INXS.
