Six spots were available for Huntingdale in the pre-qualifier at the National Golf Club.
Bridges finished sixth in the afternoon group at 72, even par, three strokes outside the qualification. That leaves the 22-year-old sixth on the reserves list.
A missed birdie on the 18th at the NSW Open cost Bridges automatic Masters qualification on Sunday and again the final hole plagued his round.
If Bridges had pared the 18th at the National he would been the first reserve and a realistic chance of playing, but he bogeyed to slip down the pecking order.
"I didn't hit a good drive and then my pitch onto the green wasn't too flash either, so that cost me," Bridges said.
The Hunter's other three professionals Callan O'Reilly (Toronto), Mitch Kellehear (Charlestown) and Corey Hale (Belmont) also failed to qualify.
O'Reilly, who returned from the European Q-School in Spain last Wednesday and played the NSW Open a day later, struggled with the putter for seven-over 79.
Kellehear was forced to withdraw after eight holes at four-over due to torn ligaments in his right hand and Hale carded 75.
