The fact that those who push the boundaries are those who set and regulate them means there is no independent check on reality.

Of course most will choose luxury, rather than budget, because no-one of sound mind is going to look a gift horse in the mouth, and we really need sound minds in government.

Until the public demand independent decisions regarding boundaries of acceptance concerning entitlements, we have no right to question their decisions.
