Eaton, 34, is a writer and artist with a disability.
She said she wrote Harriet Plotter and her Dark Secret to overcome her fears.
"I wanted to be responsible, and to take charge," Eaton said.
"It's partly a true story about my bad experience when I was younger but with lots of fantasy and twists and turns," she said.
Eaton is a client of the Horizons Disability Support Program at Morisset, who helped publish the book.
"Yes, I already have a sequel in mind," she said.
While the book might draw initial comparisons with the Harry Potter series, Eaton said that her book was "the opposite".
While the Harry Potter books were about "witchcraft", her book was about God's powers, she said.
"I hope people will buy my book, read it, and be inspired," she said.
"I hope they use it to heal themselves, whatever their trauma may be."
The launch will be held at the Morisset Multi-Purpose Centre at 10am tomorrow (Friday).
