WESTLAKES District Netball Association (WDNA) celebrated National Netball Day on Saturday by putting on a series of skills workshops for the club's juniors.
More than 70 girls attended the event, 15 of them new to netball.
They were treated to ball skills and drills clinics, and agility workshops.
The morning finished with a fun and light-hearted demonstration match between Westlakes 12s representative team and an assortment of WDNA rep coaches and managers.
It was no surprise the 12s won the game 12-10 and (off the record) a few of the coaches were seen later throughout the day hobbling around with ice packs on their knees and ankles.
The day was backed by ANZ and organised by WDNA coaching convener Brooke Dodson, umpiring convener Karen Smith, and president Pam Burt.
Captain Bob Fowell and the crew from Wangi Fire Station were on hand for "Operation Cold Snap", informing everyone of the dangers of heaters and fires at this time of year.
