The two competition points move Morisset into equal third on the ladder.
Co-coach Peter Burgess said it was a gutsy win considering four key forwards were sidelined.
"It was a real backs-to-the-wall type of win because we'd lost four straight and were without four important players," he said.
Injuries forced prop Rhys Jones, and back-rowers Trevor Clissold, Jedd Znidersic and Jerry Lowe to miss the match.
On Tuesday, Burgess said Znidersic was still troubled by a shoulder complaint and was the least likely to return to the field this Sunday.
Morisset led 16-4 at half-time, and withstood a Dungog rally in the second stanza.
Burgess said captain James Deaves was a stand-out and an inspirational leader.
"Jimmy is just so durable and so hard," he said.
"He tackles himself to a standstill and when he runs the ball he is so strong and determined."
Fullback Mitch Kaufmann was the pick of the backline.
He scored the try of the match when he loomed up in support of a Deaves bust in centre field to receive the final pass and sprint away from the cover defence to score in the corner.
This Sunday, Morisset will host Abermain at 2pm.
The winner will either grab a share of second spot on the ladder, or outright ownership of third.
Morisset has recorded two comfortable wins over Abermain this season.
