Well maybe it could be from burning treated pine or household rubbish. The fact is we don't know what is being burnt.
Outdoor burning has rightfully been banned years ago, but it's OK indoors for home heating.
It's all air pollution, just like cigarettes. I prefer to breathe in fresh air rather than other people's smoke.
I believe there is no place for smoke heaters in a residential setting. As soon as they are banned the better.
