As a teenager, I regularly attended a speedway meeting consisting of both Sydney and Newcastle's motor enthusiasts at Morisset Showground.
With speedway popularity on the rise, I believe this could be the answer. Of course, much work and finance would be needed, but if the trust can obtain council approval, I'm sure there are people out there who can make it happen.
Maybe a combined speedway and trotting track is a possibility.
With Morisset about to be a boom town, and the showground reasonably isolated from houses, maybe the surrounding areas will be reserved for commercial usage only so that noise restrictions will not be imposed.
With a roundabout already at the junction, and the M1 Pacific Motorway two minutes away, the potential is unlimited.
