When Amanda and Curt Mead were planning their wedding, she was determined to have grandfather Stanley Beevor, 81, there.
As Mr Beevor's health had been declining, it was clear he would be unable to attend a "regular" wedding so Amanda and Curt brought it to him.
The couple, from Morayfield, in Queensland, had their ceremony in a pergola at Bayside Aged Care, where Mr Beevor is a resident.
"Amanda was able to include her ailing grandad in the ceremony, to the delight of other residents," proud mother of the bride, Sandy Koch, of Mirrabooka, said.
"It was a moment that brought tears to everyone's eyes.
"The residents, staff and management at the nursing home were brilliant."
