THE Macquarie Scorpions take on the Kurri Bulldogs this Saturday in the Newcastle rugby league premiership and will be looking to reproduce the highly skilled attacking plays that saw them demolish Central Newcastle last round.
Fans got a glimpse of a new approach from Macquarie, renowned for their strong up-the-middle approach.
The Scorpions ran in eight tries in their 44-16 victory, many of which came from intricate set plays.
Macquarie coach Barrie Moore said his team will be fresh when they take on the Bulldogs thanks to the Anzac Day break.
Although Kurri have yet to register a win, Moore said they would be wary of a "desperate" Bulldogs team.
■ The Scorpions will play the Bulldogs at Peacock Field, on Saturday, May 2, 3pm.
