Southlake Neighbourhood Centre co-ordinator Sarah Bryan said: "We hope that this project will take us towards regular six-monthly car boot sales, not only to provide a contribution for neighbourhood centre programming but also to encourage local reuse, recycling and community engagement."
Prices for an outdoor site start at $25 with indoor sites from $15.
All proceeds will help to fund further projects.
Sunday's sale will be held from 8am to 1.30pm.
