COMING out of the sunlight into the relative dimness of the voting hall at the last election, I could not pick the difference between the numbers 1 and 7 on the how-to-vote paper.

When my eyes adjusted to the light, 1 became clear with a serif attached.
But the 7 with its shortened and downward inclined top piece could be mistaken for a 1 with a larger serif.
To allow for the tally room people taking sunny breaks, I'll ensure there is no confusion between my numbers.
