I am an energetic, self-employed businessman wanting to do something about NSW land tax.

I am standing for the No Land Tax party because it is high time the major parties did something about this pernicious tax, which continues to rise every year far beyond the rate of inflation.

Land tax causes upward pressure on residential tenants' rents, as well as add to the cost for everybody who buys goods from all kinds of shops.

This tax is a brake on employment, and business of all kinds, and it is time we got rid of it.

Although I live in Cessnock and Sydney, I pass regularly through Lake Macquarie, especially the Morisset Saturday markets.

But the reason I have nominated in the Lake Macquarie electorate is simply because it is represented - and I hope continues to be represented - by an Independent member, and not by either of the two self-serving major parties which continue to take turns, because we let them, in taking us all for granted.

I encourage all voters to vote for the No Land Tax party in protest against both Liberal and Labor.
