At about 11.15am last Friday, we were driving along Wangi Road just past Myuna Bay, my husband observing the speed limit.
We came to the camping area, where a driver on our right had stopped before turning right and there was a bank of at least eight cars following.
Over the hill behind them from the Morisset direction came a ute.
On seeing the cars that had stopped, he couldn't stop due to his speed and would have ploughed into them.
He crossed to the wrong side of the road towards our car, then hit the verge, just missing a metal railing and us.
Speed and inattentiveness by this driver was the cause.
We only know it was a beige ute and, as you guessed, a red P-plater.
Please drive to the road conditions at all times.
