Thousands of people turned out last Tuesday to celebrate Christmas with a picnic and some singing.
Families were serenaded by talented locals and schoolchildren got in on the act, with performances from Coal Point, Toronto, Biraban and Teralba public schools.
Santa made an appearance, cruising in on the back of Member for Lake Macquarie Greg Piper's motorbike.
The night was capped off with a spectacular fireworks display that left the crowd in awe.
