The closure will also see the removal of the St George automatic teller machine (ATM) from the front of the agency, at 99 Dora Street.
The moves are part of St George's increasing focus on digital and mobile technology.
"The needs of our customers have evolved over the years and solutions such as digital and mobile banking have radically changed the way our customers interact with us," a spokesperson for St George told the Lakes Mail on Tuesday.
"At St George, we continually evaluate the location of all our services - branches and [agencies] - to ensure we're located in the right areas to best serve our customers."
Since Westpac purchased St George in 2008, branch consolidation has also been on the agenda.
There is a Westpac branch at 75 Dora Street.
St George customers are advised that they can use the Westpac ATM there fee-free.
The announcement has upset some customers.
One told the Lakes Mail that banks, like other businesses, now tend to assume "that everyone has a smart phone" or "wants to do business on the internet or the phone".
But the St George spokesperson said there was a range of ways St George customers can still do their banking in Morisset.
These include through the Bank@Post service at the post office (for the fee-free deposit of cash and cheques, cash withdrawals and balance inquires); the Westpac ATM; EFTPOS at Coles Morisset; as well as internet and phone banking.
Staff at the Morisset agency are not employed by St George, and their futures are in doubt.
"We are waiting on the outcomes of conversations between the team at Morisset as to future employment opportunities," the spokesperson said.
