Terrigal made 9-149 from their 45 overs.
The home team chased down the target to finish at 2-150 in just the 27th over.
O'Connell and George Boyd (20) combined in an opening wicket stand of 97.
The win moves Northern Power to 12 competition points, and into fourth spot on the ladder.
Power will host Southern Spirit at Toukley in a two-day fixture starting this Saturday.
