Sensitive Santa is an initiative of Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect).
It gives special needs children and their families the opportunity to visit Santa and have a photo taken with him in a low-stress environment after most of the shops have closed.
Lights and music are turned down and noise levels are much lower than during main trading hours.
Lake Haven Shopping Centre will provide a free standard photo and a gift for each child.
‘‘Bookings are essential and some information is required on booking to ensure that Santa and Santa’s helpers are best prepared to assist with any particular needs,’’ centre manager Mike Cochrane said.
Sessions will be scheduled between 5.45pm and 7.35pm, next Monday and Tuesday, November 24 and 25.
