Dora Creek Public School participated in Origin's Energy Made Fresh in Schools program.
The school generated its own energy in interactive activities.
The students generated 3586 kilojoules of energy and Origin matched every kilojoule with a dollar, up to a limit of $2000.
The school kept half of the money, and they nominated to pay the other half forward - donating $1000 to South Lakes Men's Shed.
The blokes from South Lakes Men's Shed will put that money towards helping out Nikinpa Aboriginal Child and Family Centre in Toronto any way they can.
So far, a bush kitchen and educational toys are on the cards.
Repairing the centre's lawn area and side fence have also been suggested.
The school plans to buy iPads with its share of the money.
