The Reptile Park, at Somersby, is the only supplier of funnel-web spider venom in Australia.
The venom is used to make anti-venom.
But the Reptile Park is running low on spiders to milk.
Curator Liz Vella said there is a video on the Reptile Park's website on how to safely catch funnel-webs, along with a list of drop-off points, such as Wyong Hospital.
She also recommends that residents have a spider safety kit ready.
