Kathy Mannile and Mitzi Hopwood will say goodbye to their hair at 1pm at Splice Hair Design in Dora Creek.
Ms Mannile will donate her hair so it can be made into a wig for people with cancer.
The pair are also raising money for the Newcastle Calvary Mater Hospital, so it can purchase wigs for some of its cancer patients.
There will be donation tins at Dora Creek Post Office, Dora Creek Pharmacy and the Morisset Commonwealth Bank.
