BUDDY'S Back, one of the most popular and enduring shows on the club circuit, returns to the Central Coast this Saturday night.
Buddy's Back features the music of Buddy Holly, and others from the Holly era.
In the two-hour tribute show, Scot Robin (who played the title role in the original Australian cast of Buddy the Musical) and his band revisit all of Holly's hits - from That'll Be The Day, Rave On, Oh Boy, Peggy Sue, and Not Fade Away to Raining In My Heart, Maybe Baby, Heartbeat, True Love Ways and his last hit, It Doesn't Matter Anymore.
Robin's knowledge of all things Holly is impressive.
Between songs he gives his audience the back story to songs, and reveals a myriad of anecdotes about Holly, his life, and his career.
The show also includes other hit songs from the Holly era, including the song Buddy said he most wished he'd written - Summertime Blues by Eddie Cochran.
■ See Buddy's Back at Budgewoi Soccer Club this Saturday night, November 1, from 7.30pm. It's a free show.
