DARYL Braithwaite will play a gig in Lake Macquarie on Saturday as he tours to promote his new album, Forever the Tourist.
The former Sherbet (1970s) frontman enjoyed a stunning comeback with the albums Edge (1988) and Rise (1990). He's now back with Sony and the new album could be described as his second comeback.
The anthemic and sparkling new single, Not Too Late, is a story of hope, aspirations and reflections of life, and the obvious choice - to have a go or not.
"It seems quite appropriate," Braithwaite said.
"Even though it's about a relationship situation, it's saying that maybe it's not too late to try anything, whether it be music or anything else."
Not Too Late looks set to join his catalogue of uplifting classics, including One Summer, As The Days Go By, and The Horses, plus the timeless Sherbet hits, such as Summer Love, Howzat and Cassandra.
Catch him at Belmont 16 Footers this Saturday, November 1, from 8.30pm.
