Cooranbong boilermaker Rob Newell is gearing up for this year's Real Men Wear Pink campaign, which is a fund-raising initiative of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The campaign challenges men to pink up in recognition of the women in their lives.
Mr Newell's wife, Jan, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, and is currently on medication to help suppress secondary breast cancer.
They said the support they'd received from the community and charities had been amazing.
"During this journey charities as well as the hospital have given us massive support and help, and I would like to try and give something back," Mr Newell said.
"These guys rely on donations to find a cure, so I want to help make this happen."
Last year, Mr Newell wore pink to his work for three months and raised more than $3000. He said his company Alfabs was blown away by his efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer and promised to match every dollar he raised.
"They even put on a weekly barbecue for the duration I was wearing pink at work," he said.
Mr Newell encouraged everyone to pull on the pink at their work place.
"Do whatever you can to support the cause - fund-raise, donate, because [the National Breast Cancer Foundation] is fantastic," Mr Newell said.
