This is nothing more than developer PR designed to smooth passage.
Keith Johnson claims: "This will mean to Lake Macquarie what Circular Quay does to Sydney".
Who wants to live near Circular Quay?
There is no demand, as Mr Johnson claims. He's trying to create it.
This will destroy the local area, with increased traffic, helicopter traffic, and excessive light pollution as they put in security lighting for the marina and hotel - no doubt those horrible orange sodium street lights that destroy night vision for astronomers and anyone else who likes to see the stars from their backyard.
Council and residents need to stop this thing once and for all, and not be railroaded by the claims of a developer.
And to Lakes Mail, shame on you for allowing him the platform to spruik this stuff.
