MORISSET 229 Army Cadet Unit will host the rest of its battalion for its annual sports day this Saturday.
Cadet units from Gorokan, Maitland, Erina, Fassifern and Adamstown will travel to Morisset High School to compete against the hosts in a range of drills and sports at the 21 Battalion event.
Tug o' war, an obstacle course, soccer, volleyball and a throw-the-boot competition are all on the agenda.
The event will run from 8am to 3pm and is open to the public.
Commanding officer Captain Margo Lowe said it was a great opportunity for anyone interested in joining the cadets to get a feel of what it was all about.
"Australian Army Cadets learn respect, teamwork, confidence and self-discipline, which will all be on display [at the sports day]," Captain Lowe said.
