THE Commonwealth Bank is encouraging Lake Macquarie and Wyong Shire cricket clubs to apply for a support package from the CommBank Cricket Club by tomorrow.

Local clubs have the opportunity to receive a share of more than $100,000 worth of cash and sporting equipment to help keep cricket thriving in their community.
There are a range of packages clubs can apply for.
The 2014 CommBank Cricket Club Grants for Grassroots program is on offer to 90 cricket clubs.
It has a cash grant of $1000 and an equipment pack containing training and playing gear, including Kookaburra stumps, training balls and more.
The Super Grant will see one community club have its Grants for Grassroots package upgraded to $10,000.
There is also the 2014 CommBank Cricket Club Empowerment Project, which offers at least five community clubs a tailored support package, such as a clubhouse makeover or infrastructure upgrade.
