Codi made it through to the second round of boot camp and, although she didn't progress, she said she learned plenty from the competition.
The 17-year-old is currently in the middle of her Higher School Certificate exams, but is still buzzing from the "incredible" experience.
"It was amazing to be able to get up on stage and perform in front of the judges and crowd," Codi said.
"Nerves are always going to happen, but if you love singing the passion and adrenaline will kick in."
Since her audition was aired, Codi said her online fan base had grown significantly, with about 2000 new subscribers on her YouTube channel in two weeks.
"I've been getting lots of beautiful comments about my music," she said.
"Being on the show and having so many people see my music online has grown my determination to focus on recording new music and get my stuff out there."
