THE representative netball season is finished for 2014 and the only formality left to take care of is the Westlakes District Netball Association (WDNA) representative presentation night.

The event recognises the hard work of all the Westlakes rep teams and will be held at Wangi Workers Club on Saturday, August 16, at 6pm.

Jess Godwin and Donna Pope both completed their umpiring National 'C' badge on Saturday. To achieve this goal, both had to return a score of better than 70 per cent on a theory exam, and have a full game's umpiring observed and critiqued by a panel.
This milestone will allow them to umpire at representative carnivals over the next 12 months.
In club netball, the first two rounds of Saturday's games were rained out, but play continued in the afternoon in dry but windy conditions.
There were still plenty of smiles despite the cold and blustery weather, along with some great sportsmanship and a few upsets.
Division 1: Rathmines Hawks 36 def Bolton Point Doodlebugs 28, Bolton Point Dinos 50 def Wangi Mums Inc 29, and Rathmines Raptors 49 def Rathmines Butcherbirds 10.
Division 2 results: Morisset Wii Not Fit 37 def Wangi Zooper Doopers 25, Bolton Point Hot Shots 59 def Morisset Shooting Stars 18, and Bolton Point Vipers 35 drew with Wangi The Bees 35.
