COORANBONG Public School will begin a kindergarten transition program in August.
Principal Megan Avery said the program is aimed at children who will start kindergarten in 2015 and is based on current research and 21st century teaching techniques.
The program starts with a family orientation day on Friday, August 15, at 10am.
"Join us for morning tea where parents, grandparents and carers will have an opportunity to speak with our specialist teachers on school readiness and the first year of school," Ms Avery said.
"This will be followed by 10 weekly sessions for your child on Tuesdays from 9.15am to 11.15am."
The first session will be on Tuesday, August 19.
Ms Avery said the innovative program is a wonderful opportunity for all families.
"We look forward to providing your child with a fantastic introduction to their school life," Ms Avery said.
