REGARDING the Newcastle to Sydney trains, these trains are usually very crowded late in the day due to the amount of people using this service as a quick trip to Hornsby - these trains only stop at Strathfield in this sector of the journey.

If you want to get on at Strathfield you are lucky. Then there is a mass exit at Hornsby which means sometimes people who really need to catch these trains are denied access.
The Newcastle trains are intercity and should only allow pick-ups from stations before Woy Woy.
They only run hourly and should be used to transport the outer metro travellers as intended.
There are many more trains available to the metro dwellers.
