ENDURO rider Jessie Graham has spent the last two years off the bike due to a string of injuries, but this weekend he'll be back doing what he loves.
"I've broken my foot, my leg, my collarbone - a bit of everything," Graham laughed.
"Despite all that I'm still getting back on [the bike]. I've got a big passion for the sport."
The 21-year-old Morisset resident will compete in the first round of the NSW Enduro competition in Kyogle.
Enduro is an off-road motorcycle sport which Graham described as "machine versus the clock", where riders make their way through the bush to reach a series of checkpoints.
Graham is a veteran of the sport, riding and competing since he was five years old.
"My dad bought me a bike when I was five, and ever since then we've been travelling around racing," he said.
Enduro races can be 300 kilometres long and last up to nine hours through rough terrain, which means the bikes often take a beating, so it's a good thing that Morisset Auto Dismantlers are sponsoring Graham.
"We'll help him out throughout the race season with whatever we can - oils, fuels, services," Morisset Auto Dismantlers owner Rodney Gambrill said.
"I really appreciate everything Rodney has done for me," Graham said.
"This year is a learning curve for both of us, and we'll hit the Australian Off-Road Championship next year."
