AN application for a jetty extension and seawall retrofit for a property in Illford Avenue, Buttaba, has been refused by Lake Macquarie Council.
A council spokesperson said the application was refused because the proposed changes were not consistent with local and state planning controls, would create adverse environmental impacts during construction, would have an adverse visual impact, and would set an undesirable precedent.
