Pioneer sees a bright future for region

BOB Kalaf, arguably the first major developer to see the property potential in Morisset and surrounding districts, is convinced the area stands tall in having a bright future - with or without the mining boom.

The man who built Cooranbong's shopping centre in 1988 and, in the late 90s, co-founded Morisset's Gateway Industrial Estate, said it was easy to see why: "We have a great hinterland in the Watagans, wonderful lake, Dora Creek runs through the area and we have the freeway close by. What more could you want? It is also a safe place to be, which attracts good people."
