MORISSET Bulls charged back from an 18-point deficit to run down Singleton 30-28 in the rugby league match at Morisset Showground on Saturday.
The win sees Morisset leapfrog Singleton into third place on the Newcastle Hunter Rugby League C Grade pointscore ladder.
Coach Rod Bird said his men led 10-nil early, but surrendered their advantage in the second half and, at one point, trailed 28-10.
But a spirited fightback sparked by prop Dean Clack and centres Kelly Hall and Nathan Robinson saw the home team claw its way back.
"Dean was very good for us, driving forward, and our centres were able to play off the back of that," Bird said.
Hall crossed for four tries in a seven-try performance from the Bulls.
"We couldn't buy a goal," Bird lamented.
The Bulls are at home to last-placed Swansea this Sunday from 2pm.
