WYONG mayor Bob Graham will travel to Canberra on Tuesday in an effort to win federal government support for key projects in Wyong Shire.
Cr Graham and general manager Michael Whittaker will meet Regional Development Minister Simon Crean and Infrastructure and Transport Minister Anthony Albanese.
The pair will push for the reinstatement of key regional projects such as the F3 extension link.
Cr Graham said he would also reiterate his support for Wallarah, north of Wyong, as a possible location for a second international airport site.
An inter-government study said the airport's construction and daily activities would create 100,000 jobs.
Similar visits by the council to Canberra since 2007 had resulted in about $170 million of funding for local and regional projects, the council noted.
