Wyong will make their debut in the NSW Cup rugby league premiership this year.
The enigmatic forward, 28, spent last season with the Newcastle Knights, and played with the Macquarie Scorpions in the Newcastle premiership when not required by the NRL club.
He was cut by the Knights after coach Wayne Bennett signed Kiwi enforcer Jeremy Smith from Cronulla.
Last November, Laurie was on track to be thrown an NRL lifeline by Melbourne Storm, but a knee injury sustained during an Aboriginal knock-out competition in Cairns slammed the door on any opportunity with the premiers.
Laurie previously spent seasons with the Wests Tigers and Penrith.
Wyong junior and former NSW Country Player of the Year, Mitch Williams, has returned from the Newcastle Knights to captain the Roos in 2013.
The NSW Cup draw will see Wyong host Newcastle in the opening round on Sunday, March 10.
The Roos step up their pre-season preparations with three trial matches.
