Morisset's challengers do their homework

20 May, 2010 12:00 AM
MORISSET is expecting this Sunday's opponents Garden Suburbs to be well prepared for their InterDistrict 2 soccer clash at Lance York Oval.

"Garden Suburbs have watched us play three times already this season, so they will be a test," Morisset's Michael Gavin said. "But we'll be more than ready for them."

The Strikers maintained their unbeaten run with a 6-1 thumping of Charlestown United in their Round 8 match at Auston Oval on Sunday.

Karl Gavin continued on his merry goal-scoring way with an early double, while another long-range bomb from skipper Steve Eagleton set up a 5-nil half-time lead to seal the deal.

Centre-half Mitch Lawrence was voted players' player.
