MATTY Hay crossed for five tries in an outstanding individual performance as Southern Lakes swamped Medowie 55-12 in their Newcastle A grade rugby union match at Gibson Oval on Saturday.
Hay caused the Medowie defence no end of trouble down the left flank, crossing for his first try after just three minutes, and completing his bag of five at the 26-minute mark of the second half.
Heath McDonald also impressed with his accurate line-out throws and a brace of tries.
This Saturday, Southern Lakes host Griffins at Gibson Oval from 3pm. B grade kicks off at 1.45pm.
