SOUTHERN Lakes feasted on Griffin in their Newcastle A Grade rugby union match on Saturday.
The Hammerheads downed Griffins 62-nil to maintain their untouched position at the top of the competition ladder.
Club spokesman Eric McKenzie said the writing was on the wall early for Griffins who conceded a try to Stanford Feo in the opening exchanges.
Man of the match Callum Vizer featured in the try of the game.
"Callam received the ball from a tap-down by Sean Holmes at a line-out about 30m from the tryline. He ran across field busting five tackles, then straightened and busted four more tackles to score under the posts," McKenzie said.
The Hammerheads will face a sterner test this Saturday when they take on second-placed Pokolbin at Gibson Oval in what will be their last home game of the season.
B grade will kick off at 1.45pm, with A grade to kick off at 3pm.
