DORA Creek Swampies have added some quality players to their ranks for the coming rugby league season.
"We've managed to maintain the nucleus of the squad from last year, and added some quality players from all over NSW," club spokesman Ben Wrigley told Lakes Mail.
The Swampies enjoyed a solid season in 2011, losing to eventual premiers Tea Gardens in the semi-finals.
A number of the new recruits will be on show when the Swampies play a trial against Macquarie Scorpions at Lyall Peacock Oval, Toronto, on Saturday, March 10.
"The following Sunday, March 18, will see the much-anticipated Charity Shield match against Morisset Bulls at Moriset Showground," Mr Wrigley said.
Although content with the 25-strong playing squad, the Swampies are still looking for quality players.
Among the new signings are Matt Wrigley (Toukley), Daniel Watson (Condobolin), Tane Baker (Scone), Mick McTegg, Joel Martin (both QLD), James Deaves and Jake Deaves (both Southlakes juniors).
