UNBEATEN competition leaders Morisset will soon find out if they are the real deal in the InterDistrict 2 football premiership.
"Over the next four weeks the top teams all play each other," Morisset's Michael Gavin said.
"That's when we'll find out whether or not we're kidding ourselves."
The evidence to date, however, suggests that Morisset are serious premiership contenders.
This Sunday, the Strikers will host fourth-placed Charlestown United at Auston Oval.
Morisset is coming off a tight 2-1 win over Westlakes Seniors at Rathmines Oval.
Gavin said Westlakes provided a stiff test of Morisset's resolve.
"As we expected, the Westlakes boys were very determined, and they were probably unlucky not to get a draw, to be fair," he said.
With the scores locked at 1-all deep into the second half, Morisset gained the upper hand when midfielder Mitch Lawrence was fouled in the box, and Bon Scevak converted the penalty.
Morisset skipper Steve Eagleton's experience at the back was then needed to save the day as Westlakes launched two late attacking raids which threatened the Strikers' lead.
In the first half, a clever through ball from Eagleton opened a passage for striker Karl Gavin to score Morisset's first goal in the opening minutes.
