WHAT a load of rubbish! ("Support for huge rates hike," Lakes Mail, Dec 15.)
I am extremely disappointed in our council, to say the least.
If, as Mr Hopwood has pointed out, the council spent less on bureaucracy and useless expensive studies which most of the time they ignore, then the 3 per cent rise along with CPI increases would be more than enough.
I am more and more of the belief that all politicians at all levels of government are there only for their benefit, and what the position can do for them.
I am thoroughly disgusted in this council.
