Who'll collect green bins?

02 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
TENDERS for the supply and collection of bins for garden and food (organic) waste are now being accepted by Lake Macquarie Council.

Households separating organic waste from general waste is expected to divert more than 60 per cent of household waste from the Awaba tip, which has less than four years of remaining capacity.

Tenders close on April 3, and a preferred tender will go to council for a decision in July.

Tender documentation is available at Tenderlink.
