Tight squeeze but vandals use car to rip up the grass

02 Jul, 2009 12:00 AM
VANDALS squeezed a car through a tiny 1.3 metre gap between a post and a bolted down garbage bin to rip up Cooranbong park with wheel spins and donuts last week.

One of the park's volunteer maintenance carers, Max Shanks, said he was disappointed that nobody saw or heard the vandals.

"It's hard to believe that somebody didn't see or hear what was going on. We put a lot of time and effort into keeping the park in good shape for local families to enjoy. It's sad to see it treated this way," he said.

"I urge everybody to be on the lookout for these vandals," he said.
