ONE man is dead, an elderly couple needed to be cut from their car and three children narrowly escaped death in three separate accidents on the same morning within a few kilometres of each other last week.

Crash experts are investigating the death of a motorcyclist at Buttaba about 6am on Wednesday of last week.

The Rathmines man, 58, was riding south along Wangi Road when his motorcycle was in collision with a Mazda at the Buttaba Hills Road intersection. The motorcyclist died at the scene.
