Pirates toast another year

24 Jun, 2010 12:00 AM
BUCCANEERING members of the Dynamic Dora Creek Toastmasters celebrated the end of another successful year by wielding cutting comments and walking the plank as pirates.

In a specially themed meeting, all members enthusiastically transformed themselves into pirates for an evening focused on illicit seafaring adventures.

"Costumes ranged from a Hollywood standard of dress to incredibly creative," member Peter Gambrill said.

"One of the highlights was a speech given by Ian McLeod in the role of Long John Silver."

Mr Gambrill said all are welcome to join the Toastmasters club which meets at Cross St, Eraring. Details on 4973 4255.
