LMCC has launched a permanent drop-off site at Awaba Waste Management Facility where any working or non-working eWaste items are accepted free of charge for recycling.

The new service is funded by Hunter Resource Recovery which provides recycling for Lake Macquarie, Cessnock and Maitland councils.

Acceptable are all hand held electronic items (power tools, kitchen appliances including microwave ovens), televisions, VCRs, DVD players, stereos, mobile phones, computers, printers and fax machines.

Domestic quantities only and white goods are not accepted.
