Wyong Shire Council has warned that water supply maintenance works on the Pacific Highway at Charmhaven may result in short periods of discoloured mains water in Lake Haven and Charmhaven until the end of the month.
"There may also be slight chlorine odour after the mains are flushed but it is safe to drink and is perfectly normal during this type of process," a council spokesperson confirmed.
